| With the renovation of its two crown jewels, the Tennessee Theatre and the Bijou Theatre, and the addition of the new Riviera Theater in the same location as the old Riviera, Gay Street in downtown Knoxville has taken on a new name: Theatre Row.
Downtown planners, business owners and residents alike are all counting on the addition of the new Regal Entertainment Group cinema to continue the excitement that's been bubbling up around the rejuvenation of downtown.

| Brewer's Jam, which occurs at the same time as the world-famous October Fest in Germany, is the next big event coming to downtown Knoxville.

| Are you an art lover and a music lover? Not to worry! This Friday the R. B. Morris Band (September 7) will be playing Alive After Five at the Knoxville Museum of Art (KMA).
From the KMA site: "Morris is a Knoxville native son who has traveled far and wide and returned to his roots, garnering national acclaim and support from the likes of Lucinda Williams, John Prine, and Steve Earle along the way. His music encompasses blues, country, old-time gospel, and rock ‘n’ roll, and he has become one of the all-time favorites at Alive After Five."
