What is the purpose of the Arts & Culture Alliance? The mission of the Arts & Culture Alliance of Greater Knoxville is to serve and support a diverse community of artists, arts organizations, and cultural institutions by assuring their creative, financial, and operational well being. The Arts & Culture Alliance provides leadership and advocacy that establishes and maintains the success of the arts and cultural environment of greater Knoxville, as well as providing for a strong climate for cultural and economic interaction between the arts and the community as a whole. What does the Alliance do? The Alliance unites, strengthens, and promotes local arts and culture by focusing its activities on Advocacy, Service, and Education. Who is part of the Alliance? Our membership includes artists and cultural organizations, concerned citizens, educators, public officials, civic leaders, business people, and anyone else who believes in the future of East Tennessee. Where is the Alliance located? Our offices are located in the Arts & Culture Alliance’s Emporium Center on Gay Street in downtown Knoxville, the cultural hub of East Tennessee. However, the positive effects of the Alliance’s programs extend to all parts of the region. We help make life better for people throughout our region by supporting and calling attention to the many treasures in our local arts and culture community.
